LAURA KING
President/Qualifying Broker

Laura brings more than two decades of experience in retail, restaurant, and creative office brokerage and development, grounded in a people-first approach that prioritizes clear, steady strategy over old-school sales tactics. She positions brands and developments for lasting success through thoughtful planning, market intuition, and deep relationships built over 25 years on Atlanta’s Eastside.

She has shaped the growth of celebrated restaurants including Jeni’s Splendid Ice Creams, Lyla Lila (NYT Top 50), Botiwalla, Chai Pani, and BoccaLupo. She has vast experience in entertainment and retail—most notably The Eastern at Atlanta Dairies and the landmark relocation of Richard’s Variety Store to Ansley Mall.

As former head of project leasing for Paces Properties working on projects such as Krog Street Market, Vinings Jubilee, Atlanta Dairies, and Larkin on Memorial—winner of ULI’s Award for Excellence in Adaptive Reuse—Laura has played a key role in some of Atlanta’s most successful destinations and continues to consult on new adaptive reuse projects.

Today, she leads Alcove Commercial, representing developers and tenants who value clarity, steadiness, and long-game thinking. Recent highlights include relocating Neighborhood Ballet into 10,000 SF of long-vacant space, securing Galette Bakery in Avondale Estates, leasing Lore on Edgewood, and selling Corner Tavern Little Five Points above asking and under contract in days.. She is driving the revitalization of Pencil Factory Flats & Shops—now nearing 80% leased—which recently welcomed Relapse Theatre, bringing back a comedy institution in Atlanta.

Laura is also launching Alcove West with Ellie Maria, extending her thoughtful, responsible-retail knowledge to Northwest GA, where she lives part time.

She holds a BS in Real Estate from Georgia State University.
